This 1965 Ford Mustang Resto Mod is a custom build done by Scott’s Hot Rods & Customs in Oxnard, California. Known as Vendetta, this Mustang has been featured in magazines such as “Modified Mustangs and Fords” and was a feature at the 2013 SEMA Show. The custom build features a tubular chassis, custom suspension, a monstrous Roush 427 CI V-8 and plenty of other personalized components. The exterior of the car is finished with eye-catching black and red stripes on a white body. The lowered stance of the custom 1965 Resto Mod is complemented by the 18x8 and 20x10 Billet Specialties wheels. The interior features personalized diamond-stitched red and black leather upholstery with a matching custom console, steering wheel and a custom gauge cluster. The driver is kept pinned to the seat by Crow harnesses and is protected by a six-point roll-bar system. Under the hood hides a formidable 427IR Roush Performance engine topped with an electronic fuel-injection system and eight-stack induction ports that peek through the hood. The Roush powerplant features an iron block with 4-bolt mains, a forged steel crankshaft, forged steel H-beam connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons, a Roush hydraulic roller camshaft and a custom 3-inch exhaust featuring coffin mufflers. Power is sent to the rear tires through a Richmond 5-speed manual transmission controlled by a McLeod clutch, limited-slip differential and a Moser 9-inch rear end that has been narrowed 5 inches. The tubular chassis is fitted in the front with independent front suspension featuring Aldan coilovers, and in the rear, a Moser triangulated 4-link suspension system with Aldan coilovers. Wilwood disc brakes feature 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers to clamp down on the 14-inch rotors hidden behind all four wheels. This is a stunning example of a 1965 Mustang Resto Mod fitted with all the bells and whistles.

Car received a light cosmetic refresh by CSN MotorSports in Plain City Ohio in May of 2020.
